What a national provider won’t give an Oxford business — and we will

We checked Mitie, Serco and Equans. No published prices, no response-time commitment, no direct channel. Their homepages serve investors and procurement teams. Ours serves the person who has to sort the cleaning by Friday.

A number before a meeting

Floor area, visits a week, time window: the estimator gives an indicative monthly range instantly. Most providers will not give you one at all until a salesperson has been round.

Costed so it survives April

UK cleaning wages step up every April with the National Living Wage. Our contracts index to it openly, so the price does not quietly erode the standard or arrive as a surprise letter.

What we need from you

Floor area (roughly), how many visits a week, whether we clean inside working hours or after, and how long the team has on site per visit. If you are moving from another contractor, tell us whether their staff are dedicated to your site — that is a TUPE question and it has to be priced before we quote, not after.

Commercial cleaning across Oxford’s business districts

From city-centre practices to the business parks on the ring road. We plan routes so a two-hour evening visit in Cowley and a morning clean in Summertown sit in the same rota.

Business parks and science parks

Oxford Business Park (Cowley), Oxford Science Park (Littlemore), Botley and West Way: multi-tenant buildings with alarmed access and evening windows. We are used to landlord sign-in procedures and shared loading bays.

Practices, clinics and nurseries

Sites where the DBS question is real. Basic DBS as standard; enhanced where a contract requires and permits it. A written vetting statement is supplied with every quote.

Retail, hospitality and light industrial

Six- and seven-day patterns, early opens, and warehouse floors where the crew-hour model matters most — a 2,000 m² floor with an 8-hour window is one cleaner; with a 2-hour window it is four.

Commercial cleaning in Oxford — the questions procurement asks

How much does office cleaning cost in Oxford?

Our published rate is from £29 per crew-hour with a 2-hour minimum visit. A 250 m² office cleaned five evenings a week is about £1,500 a month including supervision and travel; the estimator on our homepage gives an indicative range for your own figures in 30 seconds. Every contract is confirmed at a fixed monthly price after a free survey.

Are you insured and are staff vetted?

Yes. £5 million public liability and £5 million employers’ liability, certificates on request. Staff are Basic DBS checked as standard, with enhanced checks where a contract requires and permits them. A written staff vetting statement comes with every quote.

Can you clean outside working hours?

Yes. Evening, early-morning and weekend visits are our normal pattern for offices. Out-of-hours carries an uplift shown on the estimator.

What happens with our current contractor’s staff?

If staff are dedicated to your site, TUPE may apply on a change of contractor. We ask about it at survey and price for it, rather than discovering it after award.

What is the minimum contract?

Rolling monthly after the first three months, with 30 days’ notice either way. We would rather earn the renewal than lock you in.

Do you supply consumables?

Yes — paper, soap, sanitiser and liners at cost plus 10%, itemised on the invoice, or you supply your own.
